Have I mentioned yet that I'm on an island? It tapers off down toward St. Augustine, and we cross over a branch of St. John's River to get to mainland Florida.

For the past two nights, we've taken the dogs out to the beach in hopes of seeing the grunion running. Unfortunately, while the timing is right, the weather conditions are not, so no grunion.
